WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING
JADA, HIGH SCHOOL JR.
Her coaching style was excellent. She makes you feel confident and comfortable all in one. She puts a lot of work into what she does and she pours into you. She’s always engaged when you are expressing yourself and always has encouraging words. She helps you think with logic as well. I enjoyed the way she listens and hears you out before sharing what she thinks. She made me feel welcome and heard.
LASHONDRA, PARENT
Rahkal’s coaching style is very unique and can’t be compared to another. She works really hard at getting to know her clients and zeroes in meeting their needs.
She is a great listener and communicates well, leaving no stone unturned. Rahkal is always available to discuss or clarify anything you have questions about.
ZARIA, COLLEGE SENIOR
All of my conversations and interactions with Ms. Rahkal were usually edifying in some way, but my biggest takeaways were derived from her telling me that “God can’t steer a parked car” and also emphasizing that nothing has to be permanent, specifically as it relates to career choices. She goes above and beyond to serve and does so with a cheerful heart. She is easy to talk to, non-intimidating and has a way of being very encouraging. She has a genuine excitement for me and my future, even when I may not have it for myself.

As a first-generation college graduate, mentor, and inner-city youth advocate, I deeply understand the value and importance of inclusion, access, and academic preparedness. I’ve found the key to success for many Black students includes community, accountability, access/exposure, affirmation, and a wraparound approach. Moreover, when properly prepared and provided equitable opportunities, learners and families feel valued, seen, supported, and more likely to thrive.
I work closely with parents/guardians and high school and collegiate scholars to identify and assess a clear strategy and plan for personal and professional success while cultivating practical change in their day-to-day approaches to produce better results. My process is to provide personalized college and career coaching through one-on-one sessions, workshops, and training to support future achievement.

Unlike traditional mainstream college prep books, College Bound is written specifically with the Black girl in mind, addressing unique challenges stemming from racial disparities in high school graduation gaps and a lack of access to education, resources, and opportunities to better prep them for life beyond high school.
For Black girls specifically, this time is crucial for the formation of their identities, the realization and ownership of their purposes, and acquiring skills and knowledge necessary to mitigate future risks of intersectionality (racism, sexism, inequalities, and other disadvantages) that could create unnecessary obstacles in the future.
