Write the vision EP. 9

Hey, Freebies! Happy Friday!

The scripture (below) popped into my head earlier this week, and I wanted to share it with you.

This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

The verse is from Habakkuk 2:‬3 and happens to be the tail end of a very popular scripture. The first part actually says:

Then the LORD replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.

-Habakkuk 2:‬2.

First, let me translate two things in this verse for my younger readers. The "tablet" can refer to either a journal, your actual tablet, iPhone, or notebook. Secondly, a herald is someone who runs errands or is like an Instacart person.

As a visionary, this happens to be one of my favorite scriptures. So much so that I even made a canvas out of it. I keep the canvas in my studio as a reminder to keep going, and I wanted to share it with you as a reminder to do the same.

Furthermore, if I can be completely honest, this week has been a trying week filled with restlessness, agitation, and some frustrations. I don't know how your week has gone, but I know that God wanted you to hear that scripture.

Here's a little biblical context behind it. I'm going to give it in the Coach Rahk Roberson translation.

So, God is speaking to a prophet named Habakkuk, who has a long list of complaints for God (like we usually do). And God responds to his list with

"Write the vision and make it plain." God instructs him to "make it plain" for the benefit of others, and I believe God wanted to use this blueprint that he gave to Habakkuk as a means to inspire us, too, TUHDAY.

The only caveat here is that it MUST be completely spelled out (written very plain) so that anyone who picks it up could run with it. Think about that, God is a God of specificity and clarity. So, while he still knows all you need, he invites you to share your visions and list with him. And in verse three, he lets us know the importance of waiting with faith and patience.

So sis, whatever you're working on, be sure to write that thang out, and I'm talking cross all of your T's, dot your i's, and ask God for the patience and faith to wait on him while he works the plan.

This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.
